MITB has been a lucky charm for me – after all who doesn’t like a full-time offer within a couple of months of joining the course and relocating to Singapore. MITB impressed me from the outset for its blended techno-management offerings with a super diverse set of modules in the field of technology, business and more importantly their amalgamation. The MITB learnings expose students to some of the very widely used skills in the industry but more importantly engraves the foundations on how to approach a problem statement. Specialising in the analytics track has opened many doors in terms of leveraging the power of data and transforming mindsets towards data driven decision making in various aspects of my current role.
It is worth mentioning that the part-time path of MITB course is no different from their full-time offering. The instructors respect the work hours, and the curriculum is well designed to maintain a fine balance between work and academics. In fact, the best part is that you get to apply your knowledge to more practical aspects of work which helps expand your domain.
My advice to students would be to seize opportunities at any time you see them coming your way, rather than waiting for the perfect time to grasp it. Also, don’t shy away from leveraging on the solid platform which SMU provides and network with as many folks as possible, it will only help you learn and grow.
In a nutshell, if you are looking for a programme which offers great faculty, solid technical skills and management exposure supplemented with SMU’s expertise in practical applied learning, MITB might be the right fit for you!
