KNOWLEDGEABLE FACULTY
“One of the best parts of the MITB programme is the faculty. Most of them are subject matter experts and their wide technical knowledge and industry experience have always been valuable. They are approachable and always ready to provide guidance. I would recommend this programme to prospective students as it has the right blend of technical and business courses.”
Bharath Chandrababu, MITB Class of 2015
During his MITB learning journey, Bharath learnt how to employ statistical and visualisation tools to integrate, structure, and analyse large data sets, manage multiple big data projects and effectively communicate findings through writing. He also appreciates the freedom to choose courses relevant to his industry’s expectations.
During his internship at Ernst & Young (EY), he worked with the Data Analytics team on the “ATM Field Optimisation” project, supervised by SMU faculty. The objective was to forecast ATM Machine Ad-hoc failures and subsequently optimise the number of field engineers assigned to each zone per day for reactive maintenance. The work was published and presented as “Ad-Hoc Automated Teller Machine Failure Forecast and Field Service Optimization” at the IEEE Case 2015 conference in Sweden, Gothenburg.
