Biography
I am doing my industry attachmentin OCBC Bank's Treasury Operation department. My work is to support the Agency and Bonds groups. My daily work involves the processing of financial productssuch as confirming bond instructions with counterparties. As part of my capstone project, I am also doing an operational risk analysis in the area of new bonds issuance.
Through my industry attachment, I have learnt about the security process in the back office. I have also learnt about the most important traits that one needs to have to pursue a successful banking career - responsibility, the ability to communicate effectively and creativity.
I wish to express my heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to my colleagues at OCBC Bank for sharing their knowledge and for their relentless patience in guiding me. The industry attachment is really a most valuable experience for me. Thus, I also thank SMU for providing me with this opportunity to widen my vision.
