The MITB journey has been a marvellous and transformative experience for me. Looking back, I started out as a fresh graduate from a non-IT background, from ground zero – my decision to join MITB has opened doors for a whole range of opportunities in the world of technology and business, which eventually led me to a career in FinTech.
The MITB curriculum is holistic and diverse, designed to be practice-based and placed in the context of real world examples and case studies. Not only has MITB trained me in deep thinking and strategy, it has also strengthened my public speaking skills. Courses are delivered by faculty members who are industry practitioners with a wealth of experience. They provide real-world perspectives and incorporate industry knowledge in their teaching, and often inspire us in finding innovative solutions to break through business bottlenecks.
I especially appreciate the programme’s internship component, which I was given the opportunity to apply what I have learnt to real-world working experience. It has certainly helped ease my transition from student to corporate life.
This journey is not easy but definitely fulfilling. Be driven, be passionate about learning and never give up, even when the going gets tough. At the end of the day, you will be surprised at how far you can go.
