During my undergraduate studies in SMU Computer Science, I was exposed to the potential of Artificial Intelligence in greatly transforming various aspects of our lives and boosting efficiency in business processes. Eager to delve deeper into the field, I decided to continue my educational journey in SMU Master of IT in Business (MITB), specializing in AI.
I am impressed by the quality of education that SMU provides through its industry-relevant curriculum, interactive lessons, and applicable projects. The professors in SMU are engaging and supportive in our education, fostering a collaborative environment in which we are able to share our ideas and learn from others. Additionally, SMU MITB offers flexibility to pursue subjects of interest in depth through their diverse selection of electives.
Outside of the classroom, MITB encourages us to develop our professional skills through attending career-readiness workshops and embarking on an internship. SMU hosts a multitude of networking events with various companies, which is very helpful to me as an international student in establishing a professional network in Singapore.
I highly recommend this program to prospective students, regardless of their background. Even if you do not come from a technical background, the introductory courses will equip you with a strong foundation. In addition, you will have the support of your professors and peers in your educational journey. As I prepare to enter the workforce, I am confident that MITB has equipped me with both the technical expertise and professional edge to thrive in the evolving AI landscape.
