When I first moved to Singapore for my postgraduate degree, I never knew what to expect. I asked myself if I did the right thing as this is a completely different environment from what I am used to. However, having been in the MITB programme for just 2 months, I already know that this is one of the best decisions I have made. The programme equips me with the analytical expertise and business strategies that will be useful for my future career. In addition, my professors are passionate and excellent in all they do. They teach, guide and allow you space to grow and discover on your own. My classmates come from different parts of the world and my interactions with them have broadened my perspectives and deepened my knowledge.
Further, SMU offers the Richard Lim Lee Scholarship (exclusive to Filipinos). Being a recipient of the Richard Lim Lee Scholarship, I have had the opportunity to meet and learn from him. I am quite confident that after meeting him, you will also feel motivated to do your best and be inspired to help others who are in need.
If you are unsure of which path to take but are passionate about understanding data, getting insights, and translating these into business needs, the MITB programme is for you. While I know that this MITB journey is not going to be easy, I believe that it will really groom you personally and professionally.
