During the course of his MITB programme, Shantanu took on an internship role at DBS which required him to step out of his pure IT comfort zone. It was during the times of performing requirements gathering for projects and interacting with clients that he found himself applying the soft skills and banking knowledge attained during the MITB (Financial Services) course. Soon enough, he found himself delivering results for the organisation.
“I was fortunate to attend the 'FS Operations Risk I & II' course during my MITB program when our professor Enoch Ch'ng gave an advice during one of his classes, where he said "No, is a career limiting word" , and this has stuck with me. To this end, I am very grateful to my professors, managers, and mentors for the opportunities given to me,” said Shantanu.
