Biography
For my industry attachment at OCBC Bank, I worked on a project to consolidate OCBC's trade finance activities under a single Trade Processing Platform. As a part of the project, the team needs to provide OCBC's Overseas Offices a seamless transition from the existing processing platform to the new consolidated platform.
This industry attachment gave me a closer look at one of the bank's most important operational unit. It helped me to relate and implement the concepts I learned at MITB (FS) in real world situations. Meetings and discussions with business users and IT teams brought new insights to my knowledge which will definitely be useful throughout my career.
I would like to thank Mr. Sarthak Satapathy who helped me in understanding trade products and processes. It is his guidance, support and understanding that have made juggling an industry attachment in the midst of a full-time Master's course easier!
