What advice would you give someone considering a Master's?
For anyone considering a Master's degree, particularly in fields like accounting or business, my advice is to choose a programme that not only equips you with technical knowledge but also nurtures a business mindset, strategic thinking, and critical analysis. A strong master’s programme should not only equip you with relevant and applicable knowledge but also encourage personal and professional growth – qualities SMU excels in. Additionally, make the most of the networking opportunities available. Engage with your peers, build relationships with faculty members, and connect with industry leaders. The connections you make during your Master's programme can offer valuable support long after you’ve graduated.
