MSA Escape Room Event in June 2022
After completing their midterm exams in May, the MSA students arranged a class activity to catch a break from their studies and bounce back for the remaining term.
After a class vote, they decided on the escape room as it is very popular among young people. Some of their “experienced players” even prepared pen and paper beforehand to assist with the puzzle solving required!
A representative from the MSA class committee shared that “both of the themes we chose were thriller and horror. The minute we stepped into the “escape room”, the atmosphere of terror immediately spread throughout. During the escape room, we had to team up and solve puzzles to escape the room. There were also moments when the whole group screamed out loud because of the encounter of an unexpected “mad doctor” (Non-Player Character, NPC) in the room.”
He goes on to share that “after getting out of the room and thorough post game analysis, some of us said it was quite a wonderful experience and would want to try another themed room, yet some said they will never want to play the horror theme escape room again."
Though the horror theme escape room may not be for everyone, our MSA students believe that after this “life and death” escape together, they came out as a stronger team and became closer as friends.
